two is many

003

yeah, so I went to the art supply store to replace TWO markers that had died. And you know...you stand in front
of the Copic display and well...things happen. So two replacements became ten. and another sketchbook. I
already have half a dozen sketchbooks in play. But, look, none of them were 6X12, so I needed it for reasons.
And copics are the best markers in the world. so there you are.

shrinky

shrinky
These aren't actually lost objects. Like so much other stuff they're on one
of my studio walls. Shrinky-Dink, if you can believe it. Because it's fun to make
shrinky-dinks using your own drawing. A quick Google search tells me that shrinky
dink paper is still out there. And I hope kids are still making weird, shrinky projects..
..and as always, who knows when I did them. long time ago, I'm sure.

more rediscovered work

003

I thought during the great Studio rework that I'd found or "rediscovered" all of my older forgotten works. But, I was
packing away a few years of inking files this morning and came across a big piece of folded card board. Its about
24X26 and I'm pretty sure it was originally just a piece of packing material for something. But to me it was a canvas
waiting for an image. So, like you do on brown board, I did a black and white piece. I actually think it's pretty neat.
And shows that I try bigger pieces much more consistently than I think I do.
again...no date on it so can't be sure just when it was done. A while ago, I expect.

Wasabi Beast

Beast

What if you had a food allergy that instead of killing you, turned you into
a Beast! That's the problem Doyle has...horseradish makes him big and
mean!

I made Art today

And I don't know what it it. I know what it's made of. bristol board, drawing pens, CD cases, duct tape...and it's two sided as you can see. It was a spontaneous project so I can't say what they are, really. Fun, cool? You tell me. Pretty sure I'll be making more of these mystery objects.

so, yeah, an interesting and mysterious couple of things. They don't open and only contain the visible artwork....

Here's what came out of the sketchbook. I'm thinking I'll add some feet, and a bit of grey-tone to jazz it up a bit.

nerd prom!

This weekend is the tenth ConnectiCon at the convention center. I've been to every one since they started as a tiny show on a local college campus. Now It's as big as any Con you'd go to and fantastic. There's plenty of pictures out there on the interwebs if you're curious. Lets just say I'll be there all day, zooming from the gaming room, to Artists Alley, to the beloved Dealers room, to the video rooms. LOVE IT. Last year I picked up a master grade Gundam kit, and think I might do it again. They have like a hundred pieces or more and are HUGE fun to put together. But who knows, there is so much great merch, who knows WHAT I'll buy. I also like the fact that so many of the attendees do Cosplay. I love me the Cosplay, even tho I don't do it.
I'll report back later!
