I didn't do any real drawing this weekend. What I did was more like crafts, which means I arranged things or put them together. Not as satisfying and I don't feel like I really did anything. Sometimes ideas just don't pop into my head no matter how I try. Actually, it's usually while I'm not trying that an idea shows up. So the crafts were fun but not totally satisfying.
So I did spend a lot of hours with DarkWatch over the weekend and as an FPS I must say it's not bad. There's good connecting animation between each zone to move the story along. Plenty of monsters to blow up with a lot of variation in mission design. On problem is you can only carry one weapon at a time. Can't we have one in reserve while we hold the primary?
Well, there are actually a lot of weapons laying around and tons of ammo. Bad guys give up health energy every time you kill one. Missions are of varying length and there is a save point at the end of each mission.
There is the theme of the main character being overcome by vampirism and at certain points you get to choose if you're on a good path or evil. So far I'm releasing souls, not consuming them. For replay I can be evil and see what the difference is.
The character is easy to control and targeting isn't too hard, so you can actually stay alive. If you do die you just restart the level with whatever you could learn before you got blown up.

So I'd say it's fast paced and pretty fun. I'm sure the boys at my gameshop would cringe to hear me say so.
