well, the Boss says that the comp copies are sitting in the office waiting to be shipped to me. I will post a few pages once I have them, but that link up there will show you about five pages. Awesome to see this finally hitting the stands. And looking over the other projects that Bluewater has lined up, it's really just a matter of time before I ask for one of them. Things are too quiet over at Hardway just at the moment and I find that when I'm not inking I rather would be.

check out the link. There is a bit of back story here, but it looks like I'll be doing a "how to" seminar in a few months to teach comic book inking. Now that is cool. More info later...

Last night was the first time since mid-July that I have not done any inking. It is the first evening I've taken off in all that time. I feel sorta guilty about it. The Elemental pages are fine. I have a lot of ink on the first five pages of issue 2.  The FemForce piece I'm doing needs to be finished ASAP and the few hours I lost last night probably won't help. but. holy cow, July 15 until september 26..inking 7 days a week. Sure, I love the process.
Maybe one day off in three months isn't the end of the world, huh?

on its way

Here is a page from a soon to be published issue of League Of Champions. Published by Heroic, pencils by the great Henry Martinez. As always, not yet lettered, so who knows what they're all saying. But a lot of fun to work on.

A good, productive weekend, totally ruined by a monday. I learned all about FTP(thank you Firefox), downloaded the bulk of issue one, got it printed, then set in to do panel boarders, straight lines, and large black spots. That's how I usually start any page. I had to run across town to the art supply store, needing new ink and pens.
Since I have been going so regular now to the local office supply store print shop I keep bumping into Guy Gilchrist. We usually talk about how fun comics were back in the day, or about inking, or being involved in "art by committee" as comic books are.
So, anyhow, the day job again is just getting in the way and I get closer all the time to trying for part time. I'm sure the boss will freak, but we'll see. As soon as my charming spouse graduates, we've already talked about me being part time to give the comic book job the chance it deserves and the attention it's asking for.
Still no rush from the editor, but I really think if I do fast work without being asked it sends a good message.

and remember, AC Comics is still out there, too. I expect I'll get a message from them soon, since they did say I'd work for them again soon.
