8 solid hours at the board today. I'm nine pages in, with 13 remaining. I was able to get two pages complete and out today. The day job only lets me get one page a day. I'll still make good progress doing one a day, but simple math shows how much better two a day is.
Spending that much time at it, with no real stops, really makes me focus on the mechanics of it. If you do something for an hour or two at a time, the hobby factor lets you just have fun with it. Pushing on for eight or nine hours really lets you dig in to a different experience.
Of course, I will love it no matter how long or short the hours, but after eight it's much more about how solid you are at the technique, the fact that you just keep going.
There is some great stuff in the remaining thirteen pages. I have a lot of experience now inking biplanes. Biplanes and giant flying monsters.
The Boss is at the big Convention in San Diego, so won't even see my uploads until after the weekend. I haven't  been told if the colorist is working yet or not. I'm hoping some time soon the FTP will have colored or lettered pages. The inker generally does not see the script so I still have questions about names, places, and of course,
does the dog have any dialogue?
I'll probably squeeze in some more panel boarders or black spots before the day is over.
and maybe eating would be good...
