Ralphie, you'll shoot your eye out

     I was having a conversation recently with someone whose  opinion I value. We were talking about me wanting to give more time to the comic book. He said "but you'll loose your benefits"
A simple statement, and I'm sure that's all he meant, but here is what I heard-
" lay aside your talent and give up your dreams and just be a mindless wage slave like the Universe intends. The sum of human potential is to be an anonymous cog in a heartless corporate machine, doing nothing that means anything. this is why humans exist."

I doubt that was what he meant when he made the comment, but man, that is just what I heard. I will give up free trips to the Dentist if it means fulfilling a life long goal. You have to do what you're passionate about, which might not be the safest route to take. 
And I've been  a part time inker for a long time.
